Studio: “LaGrange Point”. The string tremulants give a sense of motion, with French Horn swells placed a minor second above, giving a sense of drama and foreboding. As film music, it could be used in a penultimate scene to a battle of some kind. Here, it gives one the sense of being in a large cavernous space.

[9/6/2026: Suno blocked an upload of this. Ownership is now based on the sound of a piece of music, not the actual music that can be reduced to notation in a score. It's full of dissonances that aren't cliche. What it hears are the cinematic “John Williams” score cliches: Timpani, horn swells, and snare drum. It also blocks similar lyric lines but again, the cliche of them. Perhaps in the future artists will own words, just as colors can be copyrighted.  Now those claims are stupidly made by algorithms with no justification or evidence. It just is. Even a microsecond of a piece of music is enough to identify a recording].

Dynaxiom: “Stop and try a different way.” (What would that be? )

Interesting: Skyscrapers of the future by Manas Bhatia using AI: organic ant hill-like towers stuffed with greenery. (I don’t see vertical gardens or farms practical, or at least non-symbiotic. Plus incursion of insects and other life forms taken out of their natural habitat, and will become dependent on human architectural forms. Animals will be learning how to use an elevator).

[9/6/2024: This approach to architecture is not unlike brutalism, or the work of Bertrand Goldberg. The question becomes how they age. Brutalist buildings typically haven’t aged well comparable to Miesian steel-frame structures. With the latter, all you need to replace are the window panes. But imagine how boring those constraints would be over the course of a century. I think the Bhatia structures could be an interesting layer in the urban architectural chronology.]

[9/6/2026: This is the vertical farming of the future because office buildings could be mostly vacant].

The beginnings of a new piece with a decidedly “Americana” feel. I thought the Wyeth painting, "Turkey Pond" used for the thumbnail was apropos. [Score]
