  In the Francis Ford Coppola film Tetro , a writer's cryptic notes are decoded by holding them up to a mirror. I thought this might be an interesting idea for for text-based artwork, but experimented with creating mirrored 1-bar rhythms, as a way to generate variation.   They can also be done with 2-bar rhythms, or rhythms of other phrase lengths.
