Drop 31 Characteristics
A small "dictionary" of possibilities in this tuning. Its nickname is derived from the fact that the third and first strings are dropped a half-step. It can also be "Drop 13".
Demonstrates the playing of 1-5-8 chords with one finger per fret, making it easier to do this across the fingerboard in any position--even at the first fret if you want to put power in an F chord, which is difficult in standard tuning.
