One of the Composition Strategies is “Continuous rearrangement until through-composed”. What this means is that the music is generative and is always spinning off new material. One of the main ideas behind the Rifts album is that it’s a play on “riffs” and that riff ideas which arose during the improvisations would be used to create new songs. I did it on a few already, such as The Dark Segment. So far it doesn’t have any words but I could add them if I wanted.
